I get home at around 4:30 but a friend of mine apparently gets home at around 5

but there's only a set amount of buses available so I'm thankful we have activity buses at all

on our buses its really packed. we have one bus for nearly all of edgewater. when we have a school function where a lot of people stay after (ex. dances) we have to sit 3 to a seat

*snickers* it was fun though, having all the people smushed together like that (even if I was one of them)

I'm just saying, we're lucky to even have activity buses, or else [b]a lot[/b] of people wouldn't even be able to attend the dances, and there would end up being no dances

i know but we are so smushed and like were teenagers and bigger you can barely fit two to a seat let alone 3

I'm just glad I didn't have my saxophone with me

but the whole thing is that the onlt solution is a few more activity buses
but how would we get those

some schools (I think) don't even have activity buses

Sorry to break the chain but I think we should have activatys more than 2 days afterschool. I mean theres a bazillon ( by that i mean like 10) things to choose from and i can never dicide..

it's already hard to have enough buses so people can get home before 5, so it'd be hard to try and get them for more then 2 days

although I'd like to have more days (makes it easier if you'd have to make something up)

but it'd also be a little rough on some teachers, to stay after on more than one day in a few cases

Just something interesting. When I was in middle school, we were told we got 12 inches of space each, which meant 3 to seat. I always had a huge backpack and a violin, so i would stack them up and balance them over me, while the 3rd person in the seat fell over the edge. I think the school system needs to establish a policy that buses cnat safely hold more than 2 students per seat. Not everyone is 12 inches or less wide. in fact, there are very few people who are.

What do you think of activity busses in the morning?

in the morning? how would that work?

For example, my brother has to go to orchestra class at 7 am twice a week. these are mandatory practices, yet no transportation is provided. Personally, i dont think that practices should start that early. But since they do, and this seems to be fairly common in schools throughout the county, do you think the school should have morning activity busses that take you to school?

I don't really like that idea to much
I do that twice a week to and I hate the loss of an hour of sleep
(I'm a little lazy, but still)

I'd hate to lose so much sleep just so I could join a club
and I wouldn't be able to join the clubs that share the same day as the early morning band people

also, if you were to be running late in your club (maybe like a science club) your teacher would probably get annoyed with you being late all the time

there's just more time at the end of the day

and if people don't like getting home so late, then they should find an alternative

but the morning thing also wouldn't work, because the buses that run then are being used for the highschools and I know that not all seeding system schools are right next to each other (like central and south river)

yeah, you are right. and i definately have never supported extracurriculars before school, i was just saying that as they are mandatory for some clubs, the school should give transporation. i guess the middle school shouldnt get morning busses until the high school gets a later start time.

In fact, the middle school end time may be the reason the school system refuses to provide high schoolers with activity busses. That follows the same logic that they cant give morning busses to middle school cuz of high school start time.

okay last year when i was in 7th grade i made this post
i was totally fed up with the activty buses :x
it took and an hour to just to get home when it usally takes only 15minutes.

now..fastfoward to this school year. im a 8th grader
it only takes 15minutes to get home :eusaclap:
