Smart Boards
I think that we should spend less money on smartboards.
Personally, my teachers never use their smartboards. In my math class, we have used our smartboard once this year, as a timer. I don't think that we should be spending $10,000 per smartboard when there are things like changing the middle school schedule to include more science, social studies, and electives that take a lot of money to put in action. I think that most the things that are used on the smartboard can just as easily be used on a chalkboard.

Yes Smart boards are waste of money mainly because they are hard to use.

We should have a smart board because it will let the teachers remember what they wrote down yesterday or the day before. In our school the teacher forgets what she did yesterday and the day before. Also it will make the classrooms more interesting.

i think that some people dont use them well but my math teacher puts the whole lesson on it. sbut the airliners are a waste.

I agree that smart boards should only be purchased if they are needed and will be used to their full potenetial. if your teacher doesnt use it, then it should be placed where it will be used. i go to crofton middle, and my school only has like 3 smartboards, and 1100+ students and could rli use more

Smartboards are a great thing to use in the school year. It is a fun thing to use but also very functional. If your teacher doesn't allow you to use it,convince him/her to use it its a great thing even if it costs alot of money!

Smart Boards
SMARTBoards I think are a very important part of school. They're interactive, fun, and an easy, more efficient way to teach classes. However, there is a problem with them. Teachers don't use them properly or at all, but I think there are reasons behind that. My guess is that if teachers actually knew how to operate the SMARTBoard properly, I think that would boost the use of them a lot. But that's not the only problem. Even if every teacher were perfectly educated about the Boards' workings, they still might not know how to effectively use them to teach their classes. If teachers were supplied with good ideas about how to incorporate SMARTBoards in class at their training sessions, then I think they could be used a lot more in classes. My teachers use them all the time, and they're really helpful.

I LOVE them i think that they are very helpful, but i do agree that too much money is being spent on them when some teachers do not know how to use them.

I think that smartboards are pricy, but I know that it helps some of the kids in my classes stay focused and involved, so they really do help.

I personally don't think schools should be putting that much money into smartboards becuase my math teacher has one and it never works. Also, if teachers have document cameras why do they need smartboards if they can just write it on the paper and have it show up with the document camera.
