PE workbooks
Our class has had to do bookwork in PE. I don't see how it's fair that every other class makes us sit around, and they don't have to disrupt their class to let us move around. Why should the PE instructers have to disrupt their class by making us sit around and do bookwork? Honestly that should be added to the Health Class curriculum. We do not learn about sports by reading about them, but we do learn by playing them.

PE workbooks
I agree completely. Besides, PE is meant to keep the students in shape and teach them how to stay fit. We only have 3/4 of the year in gym and the rest is health. The time we have in gym should be used for exersize and moving. The other 1/4 of the year should be designed for any classroom activities such as reading and writing.
I agree on that because P.E.
I agree on that because P.E. is for running around and getting active, not reading out of a text book. That is for health to do, not P.E.
Book Work in Gym ?
I agree completely aswell . But , the actual book work for gym is only required for two classes out of the entire year.
Now , at my school , the 8th graders have a program where we are allowed to choose the sport we do. Then we do that unit for three classes before we have a health rotation. I believe that our book work unit could easily be added into that , though we have already completed one of ours as a punishment for extreme talking.
Does your school do it often ? Or was it just once or twice ?
PE Workbooks
I agree because what's the point of doing bookwork about things that, most likely you already know about? I do know that last year we had to do book work in encores so we could get ready for the MSA's but it wasn't really nessasary.
WHAT?
I have never had to do book work in PE only in health but thats different. I dont think that it is nessesary to have book work in PHYSICAL education. I'm sorry, that is jsut SOO stupid!
