Just In...Final Exam Policy Passed!!!

Thanks to everyone who dilligently lobbied the board members and Dr. Maxwell at Meet the Board Night and in other ways, the policy we have been waiting for is finally here. Now what does this mean you ask, well here are the details...

Students in AP and IB classes who take the AP or IB exam have the choice to waive their final exam for the school year. Instead of a regular grade for the final exam and the 3rd and 4th marking period grades your final grade for the semester will be a culmination of your 3rd and 4th marking period grades only. Now remember you have the choice to waive your final exam, if you for example receive an A 3rd quarter and a C fourth quarter and you are confidant that you can get an A or a B on the final then you can take the final and boost your final grade. This policy also ensures the FARMs (Free and Reduced Meals) students aren't disadvantaged from taking an AP exam because of their inability to pay. As we all know those AP exams are quite costly especially when a person takes multiple exams. You can e-mail me any questions or concerns about this policy or respond on AACstudents to what youv'e just read....
Thanks!!!!

Just In...Final Exam Policy Passed!!!

sounds good to me
