*Study Hall*
i would love the idea of a study hall. A 25-30 min study time. no not a free time. A time were we can go to the media center and study on current subjects. Or do homework/projects. Does anybody like this idea?

yeah, we recently got "advisory" every tuesday and fridays its technically 20 mins of study hall i would like to h ave it every day though.

I really like the idea of study hall becuase then we have time to get some homework done. I do a lot of activities after school like strings, sports, girl scouts, and babysitting, and homework keeps me up a long time at night. I think just like a 20 minute seminar at the end of the day would give students time to get some work done before the evening.

this year we have advisory twice a week tuesday and wednesday and my teacher lets us use it as study hall but i would want it all week.

I actually think it's fine how it is now. We have advisory twice a week and once a month on tuesday we have study hall. Study hall is mainly for catching up on HW and studying, but that's what you're supposed to do at home anyway. Also if you ever needed to stay after to get extra help or catch up on missed class work, you could always stay after.

It's called Independence and Intervention. We have that everyday at Northeast. It's about 30 minutes everyday for a certain class that you have that day. The schedule rotates everyday, 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 3a, ect. The way it works is that if you have a B or and A in that class then you have independence if you have a C or lower you go to that class and you do work that you missed or some teachers have certain things they let you do for points. It's very effective.

i also like the idea of a study hall because in the 8th grade we get a new poject almost every week and i never have time to finish them.

in my middle school that i attended we had what was called power block we had it every day for 30 mins the first year then 40 mins the second year we basically used it as a study hall they put us in our power blocks by what classes we had for example i was in a power block with kids that were taking the same math class as me with a math teacher as the advisor and we could all get help in math

Well, study hall would be great! Especially if you forgot to study for a quiz/test, or you forgot your homework. I also have advisory, except it's only on Monday. We don't study, we usually have social activites or holiday projects.
